Last evening, 27. November, 17 Friends of Korea partners gathered in the center of Zürich for Partner Dinner 2025. The first Partner Dinner was an opportunity to celebrate what we have built this year, exchange ideas for next year, and close the year together over great good.

A Growing Community

Being just one year old, Friends of Korea has grown with steady and genuine interest from all over Switzerland. The Partner Dinner was our chance to thank everyone who supported these efforts and helped shape the direction of our young community.

In 2025, we welcomed 14 partner organizations and brought together over 100 professionals and culture enthusiasts through events across AI Knowledge Exchange, Kimjang Kimchi Workshop, and Potluck, which were also featured in the news multiple times.

Conversations that shaped the night

Partners come from diverse fields — trade, consulting, finance, IT, and creative industries. Naturally, inspirational conversations and ideas filled the room. The conversations flowed naturally, from work to culture to everyday life. Some knew each other well; others met for the first time. As in previous Friends of Korea gatherings, the atmosphere was warm and familiar. By dessert, the table felt smaller, warmer. The kind of evening where people linger because it feels good to stay.

Korean Food as a Bridge

Akaraka served Korean dishes in small, throughtful courses, which naturally slowed down the evening and gave space for real conversation. Bowls of Janchiguksu, plates of Pajeon, and tteokbokki were passed down the table quickly. Hot Stone Bibimbap, seasonal banchan were a highlight, followed by a light ice cream dessert.

Between courses, conversations continued without pause. Classical music, good food, and the relaxed setting made it easy for people to connect.

Looking Back at 2025

This year showed how much is possible when people are willing to come together with openness and curiosity. Friends of Korea grew from an idea to a network supported by partners who believed in building genuine exchanges. The Partner Dinner was an opportunity to thank them and acknowledge the role each partner plays in shaping our community.

A warm end to the year — partners left with new ideas and new connections.

Looking Ahead into 2026

As we move into 2026, we hope to continue building a space where people can meet, learn from one another, and create meaningful connections across cultures.

To all our partners: Thank you for being part of Friends of Korea.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.
